BlueOptics QSFP-H40G-AOC50M-HU-BO InfiniBand glasvezelkabel 50 m stekker/stekker

The BlueOptics QSFP-H40G-AOC50M-HU-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 50 m Male/Male is a 50-meter active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP-to-QSFP connectors designed for high-speed short-reach links. It implements the 40GBASE-SR4 transmission mode over multimode fiber with integrated transmitter and receiver elements in each connector housing, providing a direct optical connection for data center and high-performance computing environments. The cable is compatible with systems that follow the QSFP MSA electrical and mechanical specifications and is intended for use where a reliable 40 Gbit/s link over 50 meters is required.

Advantages

This QSFP AOC offers a factory-assembled, plug-and-play optical link that eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, reducing installation complexity. The integrated transceiver design supports up to 40 Gbit/s aggregated bandwidth and provides consistent signal quality over the specified 50 m reach. Its QSFP male-to-male connectors ensure a standardized interface for compatible switches and servers, and the multimode optical path supports common short-range high-speed protocols used in modern data center architectures.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 40 Gbit/s links in data centers and server farms
• Interconnects between QSFP-enabled switches, routers and storage systems
• High-performance computing clusters and InfiniBand-compatible environments
• Applications using 40GBASE-SR4, Ethernet or Fibre Channel over short multimode fiber runs

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP male to QSFP male
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated Tx/Rx
• Nominal data rate: up to 40 Gbit/s aggregated
• Transmission mode: 40GBASE-SR4 over multimode fiber
• Nominal length: 50 meters
• Target use: short-reach links in data center and HPC environments

How to use

Inspect both QSFP connectors and the ports on the devices for dust or damage before installation. Align each QSFP connector with the corresponding QSFP port and insert until a positive seating is felt; follow the equipment manufacturer's guidance for hot-plugging. The cable requires no separate transceivers or additional fiber patching; once connected, devices should detect the link according to their link negotiation procedures. For removal, depress any retention latch and withdraw the connector straight out to avoid bending the cable or stressing the connector.

Recommendations

Use this 50 m AOC in ambient conditions and rack layouts that avoid tight bends, excessive pulling, or exposure to liquids. Confirm device compatibility with QSFP MSA-compliant modules and, where necessary, test the link in your specific hardware to verify performance with your protocol (Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet or InfiniBand).
