BlueOptics SFP28-25G-AOC3M-BO InfiniBand glasvezelkabel 3 m aqua

The BlueOptics SFP28-25G-AOC3M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 3 m Aqua is a 3-meter Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP28 male connectors on both ends. Designed for multi-mode fibre transmission, this cable follows SFP28/MSA form-factor conventions and supports 25G data rates for short-reach high-speed interconnections in data centre and networking environments. The aqua jacket denotes multi-mode fibre suitable for 25GBASE-SR4 and similar short-reach protocols.

Advantages

This AOC provides a compact, pre-terminated link with integrated transmitter and receiver modules at each end, eliminating separate transceivers and fibre patching for simpler deployment. The SFP28 form factor ensures broad compatibility with networking equipment that supports SFP28 interfaces, while the fixed 3 m length reduces clutter and improves airflow in rack installations. Being a multi-mode AOC with an aqua jacket, it is optimized for short-distance, high-bandwidth connections between switches, routers and servers.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28 AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your devices until it latches. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-plugging procedures recommended by the equipment vendor. The integrated transceivers and pre-terminated cable remove the need for separate optical transceivers and patch cords; once connected, configure link settings on connected devices according to your network or storage requirements to enable 25G operation.

Recommendations

Verify that your switches, routers or servers officially support SFP28 modules and 25GBASE-SR4 or equivalent short-reach optics. Use the 3 m length for short intra-rack or adjacent-rack connections to maintain signal integrity and tidy cable management. Avoid sharp bends in the cable and protect connector endfaces from contamination when handling.
