BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-MA-BO InfiniBand glasvezelkabel 15m stekker/stekker

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-MA-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m Male/Male is an active optical cable (AOC) designed for 25G high-speed links over multi-mode fibre. With SFP28-to-SFP28 male connectors and a 15 metre cable length, it provides a factory-integrated transmitter and receiver on each end to support short-reach data centre and networking interconnects where low latency and reliable signal integrity are required.

Advantages

Suitable for

• Data centre switch-to-switch or switch-to-server connections up to 15 m
• High-speed InfiniBand and 25G Ethernet links within racks and between adjacent racks
• Storage connectivity and aggregation layers requiring 25G short-reach links

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with multi-mode fibre
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s per link
• Cable length: 15 metres
• Application layer: suitable for InfiniBand, 25GBASE-SR4 and related high-speed protocols

How to use

Plug each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the networking devices to be connected, ensuring the connectors are fully inserted and latched. Because the optical transceivers and optical cable are factory-terminated, no field termination or additional optical modules are required. After insertion, verify link status and speed on the connected devices and confirm that firmware and host hardware support SFP28 AOC modules. If required, consult the switch or server documentation for port configuration and compatibility settings.

Recommendations

Use the cable in controlled data centre environments, avoid tight bends or kinks in the fibre bundle, maintain bend radii recommended for multi-mode fibre, and keep connectors clean and protected when not in use. Verify device compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules and ensure proper airflow clearance around ports to prevent overheating.
