BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-SO-BO SFP28 actieve optische kabel, 25 m, mintkleur

Active Optical Cable BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-SO-BO is a 25 m high-speed direct attach link with SFP28 connectors on both ends. Engineered for 25G/28G and InfiniBand-compatible environments, the AOC provides a fibre-based connection that reduces electromagnetic interference and supports low-latency data exchange. The cable comes in a mint-coloured jacket and is intended for short to medium reach interconnects in data centres and networking racks.

Advantages

The BlueOptics SFP28 active optical cable delivers 25 Gbit/s per lane performance with the stability and signal integrity expected from optical media while keeping the convenience of a direct attach form factor. Its active optical construction enables longer reach than copper DACs and reduces sensitivity to electrical noise. The mint-coloured jacket helps with visual identification in cable bundles and rack installations, and the integrated SFP28 connectors allow plug-and-play insertion into compatible transceiver ports.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections in 25G/28G networks
• Switch-to-switch links within data centre racks
• High-performance computing interconnects and InfiniBand-compatible links
• Network equipment installations requiring reduced electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Cable length: 25 m
• Connector type: SFP28 to SFP28
• Data rate: 25 Gbit/s (25G/28G compatible)
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Jacket colour: Mint
• Weight (approx.): 0.15 kg

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your networking devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered down or support hot-plugging according to the equipment manufacturer’s guidelines before insertion or removal. Verify link status on both ends and check device interfaces for the correct negotiated speed and link parameters. Route the 25 m cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges; maintain a gentle bend radius consistent with optical cable handling practices.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid compressing the cable jacket, and maintain a minimum bend radius as specified by your equipment vendor. Use the mint-coloured AOC for easy identification in dense cable environments. Confirm compatibility with switch and server SFP28 ports and update firmware or drivers on connected devices if link negotiation issues occur.
