BlueOptics SFP3232EU7.5MK InfiniBand glasvezelkabel 7,5 m SC groen

The BlueOptics SFP3232EU7.5MK InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7.5 m SC Green is a 7.5-metre multimode OM3 fibre patch cable with SC connectors designed for high-speed InfiniBand links. It provides full duplex communication and is intended for short to medium reach connections within data centers, server rooms and network racks. The cable jacket is green to indicate OM3 multimode specification and the SC terminations offer a push-pull coupling mechanism for secure connector mating.

Advantages

This OM3 fibre cable supports reliable high-bandwidth transmission suitable for InfiniBand interconnects and other high-speed networking equipment. The SC connector type ensures straightforward insertion and removal while maintaining low insertion loss. With a pre-terminated 7.5 m length, the cable simplifies rack-to-rack and shelf-to-shelf connections without additional field termination. The full duplex capability enables simultaneous bidirectional data flow, reducing latency in clustered systems.

How to use

Route the cable through the rack or cable management channels to avoid sharp bends and excessive stress. Align each SC connector with the device port and push until the connector latches audibly; to remove, depress the latch and pull the connector straight out. Ensure both ends are clean and free of dust before insertion; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Verify link status on connected devices and test signal integrity with optical test equipment when establishing new connections.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable according to multimode fibre best practices: maintain bend radius above manufacturer-specified limits, keep connector end faces covered when not in use, and avoid tight bundling with active power cables. For critical installations, perform insertion loss and return loss measurements and consider using strain relief or cable ties in the rack to prevent movement that could affect optical performance.
