BlueOptics SFP8181FU2MK InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel 2 m LC OM4

The BlueOptics SFP8181FU2MK InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 2 m duplex link with LC connectors and OM4 multimode fibre. Designed for short- to medium-range high-speed connections, this cable uses a 50 µm core diameter to support dense, low-loss signal transmission in data centre and enterprise networking environments. Its duplex construction enables simultaneous bidirectional communication and compatibility with InfiniBand transceivers and other LC-terminated modules that accept OM4 multimode fibre.

Advantages

This 2 m OM4 fibre cable provides low attenuation and improved modal bandwidth compared with lower-grade multimode types, supporting higher throughput and longer reach in aggregated and rack-to-rack links. The LC duplex connectors afford a compact footprint and stable mating, making the cable suitable for high-density patch panels and server NIC connections. The product’s full-duplex design ensures reliable bidirectional data flow for InfiniBand fabrics and similar low-latency, high-bandwidth networks.

How to use

Prepare the installation by ensuring both transceivers or panel ports are clean and rated for OM4 multimode fibre. Align and insert each LC connector into the corresponding LC port until it clicks to secure the connection. Route the 2 m cable to avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and avoid placing tension on the connectors. Verify link status on network devices and, if necessary, test optical loss and signal quality with suitable test equipment before commissioning.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this OM4 cable within recommended multimode distances for your InfiniBand or Ethernet transceivers, keep connectors free of dust using appropriate cleaning tools, and avoid tight bends or crushing. Store spare cables in protective sleeves to prevent contamination and mechanical damage.
