Boa-touw 9,8 mm 60 m met EDELRID-Liner-mantel — klim-/zekeringstouw

Boa rope 9.8 mm 60 m with EDELRID liner cover is a mid‑diameter rope designed for climbing and safety applications that require low stretch and reliable handling. With a 9.8 mm diameter it offers a compromise between ease of handling and strength, while the 60 m length covers multi‑pitch routes, hauling and many rescue scenarios. The integrated EDELRID liner cover reduces sheath wear and improves durability without altering the rope’s handling characteristics.

Advantages

The 9.8 mm diameter provides manageable handling for belaying and rappelling while maintaining high tensile performance. The 60 m length enables longer climbs or allows for hauling and rescue operations without joining ropes. The EDELRID liner cover protects the sheath from abrasion and penetration, extending service life and reducing maintenance needs. The rope’s construction supports low elongation under load, improving control and positioning during technical moves and lowering dynamic impact in controlled situations.

How to use

Inspect the rope before each use, checking for visible damage, core protrusion, cuts or severe abrasion. Use standard rope‑handling techniques for belaying, rappelling and hauling; follow manufacturer and industry best practices for knot tying and anchor setup. Store the rope dry and away from direct sunlight, chemicals and sharp edges. Retire the rope if it shows signs of core damage, excessive wear, or after significant loading events as defined by rescue and climbing safety guidelines.

Recommendations

For safe operation, combine the rope with compatible hardware (harnesses, belay devices, carabiners and anchors) rated for climbing and rescue. Regularly clean and inspect the sheath to maintain the EDELRID liner cover’s performance. Follow established inspection intervals and replacement policies for professional use and consult relevant safety standards for rescue and work‑at‑height activities.
