Boor Bosch 2 608 597 202 lengte 180 mm

The Bosch 2 608 597 202 drill bit is a 180 mm-long standard brad point bit designed for precise drilling. Manufactured by Bosch and identified by MPN 2608597202 and EAN 3165140099684, this bit is suitable for general woodworking and tasks that require clean, accurate entry and reduced splintering. The design emphasizes straight penetration and consistent hole quality across common wood types and wood-based materials.

Advantages

The brad point tip provides accurate centring and reduces wandering at the start of drilling, while the fluted body removes chips efficiently to maintain cutting performance. At 180 mm length, the bit reaches deeper workpieces and offers stable handling in handheld drills and drill presses. Built to Bosch quality standards, it balances durability and cutting precision for routine professional and DIY applications.

Suitable for

• Drilling precise holes in solid wood
• Working with plywood, MDF and other wood-based panels
• Through-holes and deep-hole drilling up to 180 mm

Key specifications

• Brand: Bosch
• MPN: 2608597202
• EAN: 3165140099684
• Type: Standard brad point drill bit
• Length: 180 mm

How to use

Secure the drill bit in the chuck of a handheld drill or drill press, ensuring it is tightly clamped and correctly aligned. Mark the drilling point on the workpiece and start at low speed to allow the brad point to centre. Increase speed as needed while applying steady, moderate pressure. Withdraw the bit periodically on deep holes to clear chips and avoid overheating. After use, clean debris from the flutes and store the bit in a dry place.

Recommendations

Use appropriate safety equipment such as eye protection and hearing protection. Match drill speed to the material and avoid excessive feed force to preserve bit life and hole quality.
