Bordspel Ravensburger GraviTrax Junior 3 jaar en ouder

GraviTrax Junior from Ravensburger is a track-building board game for children aged 3 years and up that introduces basic principles of motion and cause-and-effect through hands-on play. The set includes colorful, age-appropriate components that let young builders assemble simple gravity-powered tracks and watch the included marbles move along paths they design. Rules are simplified for preschoolers, and the game focuses on creativity, fine motor practice, and early spatial reasoning within a safe play system.

Advantages

GraviTrax Junior offers a simplified construction system tailored to young children, with large, durable pieces and clear visual cues that make assembly straightforward. The game develops fine motor skills as children connect track elements and place marbles, while encouraging problem-solving and experimentation as they adjust track layouts to change marble movement. Components are brightly colored to sustain engagement and designed for safe handling by small hands.

Suitable for

• Early STEM introduction and basic physics exploration for preschoolers
• Developing fine motor skills and hand–eye coordination
• Independent play or guided play with parents and caregivers
• Group play with siblings or small playdates

Key specifications

• Recommended age: 3 years and up
• Content: track elements, bases, marbles and connectors designed for young children
• Design: modular pieces that fit together to form gravity-driven routes
• Material: robust child-safe plastic components suitable for repeated assembly
• Skill focus: creativity, spatial awareness, fine motor coordination, basic cause-and-effect understanding

How to use

Open the box and sort the pieces by shape and color to familiarise the child with the components. Follow the included simple building guide or let the child experiment by connecting bases and track parts to create a starting point and pathway for the marble. Place a marble at the start and observe how gravity pulls it along the track; adjust slopes, connector positions, and alignments to change speed and direction. Caregiver supervision is recommended for younger children while assembling and during play.

Recommendations

Use on a flat, stable surface and keep the play area clear of small objects to ensure safe marble movement. Rotate building challenges by setting specific goals (for example, reach a target base or create a longer route) to promote problem-solving. Store components in the original box after play to prevent loss and maintain piece condition.
