Bosch 2 608 628 387 groeffrees lengte 51 mm werklengte 1,96 cm

The Bosch 2 608 628 387 Straight Bit is a woodworking router bit designed for general routing tasks. With an overall length of 51 mm and a working length of 1.96 cm, it delivers precise, clean cuts for grooves, slots, rebates and jointing in both soft and hard solid wood as well as wood-based composites. The cutter geometry limits chip thickness to reduce kickback and improve cutting safety and consistency.

Advantages

This straight bit offers high cutting performance in general routing applications while maintaining durability and precision. Its design reduces kickback by limiting generated chip thickness, which helps produce uniform chips and steadier operation. The dimensions (51 mm length, 1.96 cm working length) make it suitable for a wide range of common woodworking tasks.

How to use

Install the straight bit in a suitable router or trimming tool according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring the collet holds the shank securely. Set the router speed and feed rate appropriate for the material (lower speeds for hard wood, higher for softer materials) and make shallow passes when removing material to maintain accuracy. Use steady, controlled movement and proper clamping of the workpiece to avoid vibration and ensure clean cuts.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (eye and hearing protection). Keep the bit sharp and inspect it before use; replace if damaged. For best results, make multiple shallow passes rather than removing large amounts of material in a single pass.
