Bosch GPL 3 G Professional puntlaser 30 m 500-540 nm (< 10mW)

The Bosch GPL 3 G Professional point level laser provides precise point alignment for indoor measuring and layout tasks. With a maximum range of 30 m and levelling accuracy of ±0.35 mm/m, this compact instrument supports fast positioning and transfer of reference points. The device self-levels within ±4° and runs on standard AA batteries, combining portability with reliable performance for trade professionals and advanced DIY users.

Advantages

The compact housing, measuring 115 mm in width, 50 mm in depth and 113 mm in height, makes the laser easy to carry and position on job sites. Green laser points are typically easier to see under normal indoor lighting conditions, and the self-levelling function saves time by automatically correcting minor tilt within the specified range. Battery operation using AA cells ensures wide availability of replacement power sources and simplified field use.

Suitable for

• Alignment of fixtures and fittings in interior construction
• Transferring reference points between floors or walls
• Plumbing and squaring tasks for partitions and doorframes
• Setting out electrical points, switches and outlets
• Precision layout work in renovation and finishing jobs

Key specifications

• Laser type: green point laser
• Maximum working range: up to 30 m (depending on ambient conditions)
• Levelling accuracy: ±0.35 mm/m
• Self-levelling range: ±4°
• Power supply: AA batteries (standard cells)
• Dimensions (W × D × H): 115 × 50 × 113 mm
• Weight: compact and lightweight for handheld and tripod use

How to use

Place the Bosch GPL 3 G Professional on a stable surface or mount it on a suitable tripod or bracket. Insert fresh AA batteries and switch the unit on. Allow the instrument to self-level; the internal mechanism will correct tilt within ±4° and indicate when points are level. Use the green laser points to align components, mark transfer points, or verify plumb and square. For distances up to 30 m, confirm visibility of the laser dot under current lighting conditions and, if necessary, reduce ambient light or use a detector where supported.

Recommendations

For best results, operate the laser within its self-levelling range and replace batteries before extended tasks to maintain consistent brightness. Store the unit in a protective case to avoid impacts and maintain calibration. When working outdoors or in bright environments, consider using a laser receiver compatible with green point lasers to improve detection at longer ranges.
