Camera-objectiefadapter Walimex 20795 metaal zwart MFT-compatibiliteit

The Walimex metal intermediate ring set increases the distance between lens and sensor to allow larger magnification for macro and close-up photography. The kit consists of three stackable extension rings that let you change magnification without changing the lens. Rings are made for mechanical and electronic compatibility with MFT mount cameras and include gold-plated contacts to preserve aperture control, autofocus signals and EXIF transmission.

Advantages

Three different ring lengths provide flexible magnification options that can be combined as needed. Metal construction ensures stable alignment between lens and camera. Gold-plated contacts maintain electronic communication so exposure modes, aperture control and autofocus remain functional when supported by the lens and camera. Using extension rings reduces depth of field and enables strong subject isolation in close-up images.

Suitable for

• Macro and close-up photography with MFT-mount cameras
• Photographers who want variable magnification without dedicated macro lenses
• Still-life, product and detail shots requiring shallow depth of field

Key specifications

• Set of three metal extension rings, stackable for variable extension
• Black finish
• Gold-plated electronic contacts for aperture, autofocus and EXIF transfer
• Compatible with Micro Four Thirds (MFT) lens mount systems
• Mechanical mating between lens and camera maintains optical alignment

How to use

Mount the appropriate ring or combination of rings between the lens and the camera body by aligning mounts and locking them into place. Check that the gold-plated contacts engage to preserve electronic functions. Compose and focus as usual; note that the increased lens-to-sensor distance increases magnification and reduces depth of field, and in many cases the focusing range will shift to close distances only. Because extension reduces light reaching the sensor, adjust exposure or use a tripod and longer shutter speeds as needed.

Recommendations

For stable results and sharp images at high magnification, use a tripod and mirror lock-up or electronic shutter when available. Increase ISO or use longer exposures to compensate for light loss; prefer short focal lengths (standard or short telephoto) for stronger close-up effect.
