Cartridge Canon GI-43 GY grijs

The Canon GI-43 GY Gray cartridge is a high-capacity ink supply formulated to deliver consistent gray tones for document and photo printing. Designed for use with compatible Canon printers, this gray ink produces sharp text grayscale output and smooth midtones in images. The cartridge aims to reduce replacement frequency through an increased ink volume while maintaining reliable performance across routine home and office print tasks.

Advantages

The gray ink in this cartridge provides accurate neutral tones and reduced color casts, supporting clear monochrome prints and improved grayscale photo reproduction. Its high-capacity fill lowers the number of cartridge changes required compared with standard cartridges, and the cartridge is engineered for simple, tool-free installation. The formulation helps maintain stable nozzle performance and consistent droplet placement to reduce streaking and banding.

Suitable for

• Printing grayscale documents and manuals
• Producing black-and-white photographs and image proofs with smooth tonal transitions
• Everyday home printing where extended ink capacity is preferred
• Small office environments that require reliable, consistent gray output

How to use

Turn on the printer and open the cartridge access cover according to the printer user guide. Remove the empty cartridge by gently pressing the release latch and lift it out, then unpack the replacement cartridge and remove any protective seals. Insert the Canon GI-43 GY Gray cartridge into the designated slot until it clicks into place, close the access cover, and allow the printer to recognise the new cartridge. Perform a test print or nozzle check from the printer menu to confirm proper installation and alignment before starting regular print jobs.

Recommendations

Store unused cartridges in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the gray cartridge in combination with manufacturer-recommended color cartridges for optimal color balance when printing images that include both grayscale and color elements. Run periodic nozzle checks and head-cleaning cycles if prints show streaks to maintain consistent output quality.
