CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q2M actieve optische kabel, 2 m lengte

The CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q2M active optical cable is a factory-terminated 2 m AOC designed for 25 Gbps SFP28 ports. It delivers a low-latency, energy-efficient optical link between compatible network devices such as switches, servers and network interface cards. The compact plug-and-play design provides a practical short-reach fiber alternative for data center top-of-rack and server-rack interconnects where SFP28 ports are available.

Advantages

This active optical cable supports 25 Gbps data rates over a 2 m length while minimizing electrical power consumption compared with direct-attach copper for similar reach. Factory termination ensures consistent optical performance and interoperability with standard SFP28 ports. The cable’s compact form factor reduces port blockage and simplifies installation in dense rack environments. As an AOC, it avoids separate transceivers and patch cables, offering a single, integrated solution for high-speed short-reach links.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25 Gbps connections between switches and servers
• Top-of-rack or middle-of-row data center interconnects
• High-density server racks where space and port access are limited
• Environments requiring low-latency, plug-and-play optical links

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 (factory-terminated active optical cable)
• Maximum data rate: 25 Gbps
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 2 metres
• Application: Short-reach data center and server interconnects
• Power profile: energy-efficient compared with equivalent copper DAC for short distances

How to use

Install the CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q2M by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the module latches. Ensure both ends are seated properly and that the devices are powered and configured for 25 Gbps operation. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cords are required; the cable is ready to use out of the box. For best results, verify device compatibility and firmware support for third-party AOC modules before deployment.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends near the connectors; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Use this 2 m AOC for short-reach links inside racks or between adjacent racks, and verify link status LEDs and management interfaces after installation to confirm a stable 25 Gbps link.
