Bedrade full-size bureautoetsenbord Active Key AK-C8100-B — QWERTZ Duits layout, 105 toetsen, USB, membraan, zwart

Active Key AK-C8100-B is a wired full-size office keyboard with a QWERTZ German layout, 105 keys and a USB connection. The keyboard features a sealed silicone membrane over the key field and a membrane switch mechanism, combining a standard 100% layout with a hygienic design intended for environments that require frequent cleaning. It is designed for everyday office tasks, data entry and workstation use while offering enhanced resistance to dirt and fluids and a low actuation force for sustained typing.

Advantages

The silicone key membrane enables spray/wipe surface disinfection without exposing internal components to liquids, reducing the risk of contamination from cleaning fluids or submerged washing. The keyboard supports a CleanFunction that temporarily disables the key field during cleaning, and the membrane can be exchanged for routine disinfection. Its construction is compatible with many hospital disinfectants and cleaning agents and provides precise key guidance with a membrane switching system suited for prolonged typing.

Suitable for

• Hospitals and healthcare facilities (patient record entry, nurse stations)
• Clinical and practitioner offices requiring routine surface disinfection
• Food industry and industrial environments with hygiene requirements
• Workstations where exposure to liquids, dust or contaminants is likely
• General office and administrative data entry with a German QWERTZ layout

How to use

Connect the keyboard to a USB port on the computer and allow the operating system to recognize the device. Use the standard QWERTZ German key arrangement for typing and data entry tasks. To clean the surface, activate the CleanFunction (press Fn + Clean on/off) to temporarily lock the key field, then perform spray/wipe sanitization on the silicone membrane according to the disinfectant manufacturer’s instructions. After cleaning, deactivate the CleanFunction and resume normal use. Replace the silicone membrane as part of routine maintenance if required by hygiene protocols.

Recommendations

Use disinfectants and cleaning agents that are compatible with silicone surfaces and follow facility-specific hygiene procedures. Avoid submersion or pouring liquids directly into openings; rely on surface spray/wipe methods. Regularly check the condition of the silicone membrane and replace it when wear or damage is detected to maintain hygienic performance.
