The CHERRY KW X ULP Universal USB RF Wireless Bluetooth QWERTY Black is an ultra-slim high-end keyboard with a universal design that supports USB, RF wireless and Bluetooth connections. It features a US International QWERTY layout with 110 mechanical-style keys, LED backlighting and a slim black housing suitable for office or home use.

Advantages

This keyboard offers multiple connectivity options (USB, RF Wireless and Bluetooth) for flexible use across devices, a compact ultra-slim profile that saves desk space, and LED backlighting for improved key visibility in low-light conditions. The US International QWERTY layout and mechanical-style keys provide a precise typing experience while maintaining a refined aesthetic in black.

Suitable for

  • Office work and data entry
  • Home computer use and general productivity
  • Switching between multiple devices (desktop, laptop, tablet)
  • Users who prefer a slim mechanical-style keyboard with backlight

Key specifications

  • Connectivity: USB + RF Wireless + Bluetooth
  • Keyboard layout: US International QWERTY
  • Number of keys: 110
  • Backlighting: LED
  • Colour: Black

How to use

Connect the keyboard to a device using the preferred interface: plug the USB cable or USB receiver for RF Wireless, or pair via Bluetooth following the device pairing procedure. Ensure the keyboard is powered (battery or internal power source as applicable) and switch between connection modes if needed. Use the LED backlight controls to adjust visibility according to ambient light.

Recommendations

For reliable multi-device use, keep the RF receiver accessible and ensure Bluetooth pairing is completed on each device before switching. Clean the keyboard regularly with a soft, dry cloth and avoid liquid exposure to preserve the slim mechanical-style keys and backlight.

7/10

Eindoordeel: Though certainly capable of looking the part on the right desk, the snappy switches of the Cherry KW x ULP might be a little too solid and sturdy for fast typists. Take your time, though, and you'll enjoy each accurate stroke. PROS Enjoyable, low-profile...

Pluspunten
  • Enjoyable, low-profile mechanical feel
  • Very sturdy and responsive
Minpunten
  • Snappy switches can feel restrictive
  • Very expensive
  • Backlight isn't great
