Contour Design Active Key AK-440 Toetsenbord Kantoor USB QWERTZ Duits Wit

The AK-440 is a compact, high-quality wired keyboard with a QWERTZ German layout and integrated trackball for reliable use in industrial, server, kiosk and healthcare environments. Its tenkeyless design reduces desk space while providing full alphanumeric functionality. The closed contact system increases resistance to splash water and dust, and the USB connection ensures stable communication with connected devices.

Advantages

The keyboard combines a notebook-style key field with a built-in trackball to replace a separate mouse, enabling smooth and precise cursor control even for untrained operators. Its reduced dimensions save space and lower installation cost without sacrificing essential functions. The sealed contact system improves durability in environments exposed to particles and occasional moisture.

Suitable for

• Industrial control panels and machine interfaces
• Server rooms and rack-mounted consoles
• Public kiosks and self-service terminals
• Healthcare workstations and medical equipment

The compact layout functions like a standard keyboard but without a numeric keypad, so adapt numeric-entry workflows accordingly or use on-screen numeric input if needed.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, install the AK-440 in an environment that minimises prolonged direct exposure to heavy liquids and abrasive dust. Regularly check and clean the trackball surface following the manufacturer's maintenance guidelines to maintain smooth cursor control.
