Circulair polarisatiefilter Sony VF-82CPAM2 8,2 cm

The Sony VF-82CPAM2 Circular Polarising (C-PL) filter is an 82 mm optical filter designed to reduce reflections, increase color saturation and improve contrast. It is intended for landscape and outdoor photography where removing surface reflections and deepening sky blues or foliage greens enhances image quality. The filter is easy to attach and remove and is built to maintain the resolution and performance of high-end lenses such as Sony G Master models.

Advantages

The CPAM2 model offers twice the resolution of previous Sony C-PL filters to support the maximum resolving power of G Master lenses. It incorporates ZEISS T coating technology to suppress reflections and minimize flare and ghosting, preserving image clarity. The filter’s slim design reduces the risk of vignetting, making it suitable for wide-angle use while maintaining circular polariser performance.

Suitable for

• Landscape photography
• Outdoor and nature photography
• Shooting through windows or water to reduce reflections
• Wide-angle lenses where vignetting must be avoided

Key specifications

• Type: Circular polarising (C-PL) filter
• Model: Sony VF-82CPAM2
• Filter diameter: 82 mm
• Coating: ZEISS T multi-coating
• Compatible with: Lenses with 82 mm filter thread, designed to preserve high-resolution lens performance
• MPN: VF82CPAM2.SYH
• EAN: 4548736100756

How to use

Mount the filter onto the 82 mm front thread of your lens and rotate the outer ring while observing the scene through the viewfinder or live view until the desired level of polarization and reflection reduction is achieved. For landscape shots, adjust the polariser to darken skies and increase color saturation; for water or glass reflections, rotate until unwanted reflections are minimized. Remove the filter when not needed to avoid unnecessary exposure or color shifts.

Recommendations

Use the Sony VF-82CPAM2 when shooting wide outdoor scenes, skies and reflective surfaces. Check for vignetting on ultra-wide lenses despite the slim frame, and store the filter in a protective case when not in use to preserve the ZEISS T coating and optical surfaces.
