Cirkelzaag Makita RS002GZ 40 V, 260 mm zaagbladdiameter

Makita RS002GZ 40 V circular saw with a 260 mm blade diameter is a cordless solution for straight and angled cutting of wood and sheet materials. Designed for users who need a portable yet powerful cutting tool, this model runs on Makita's 40 V battery platform to deliver consistent cutting performance without a mains connection. The saw is intended for tasks on construction sites, carpentry workshops and renovation projects where mobility and higher cutting capacity are required.

Advantages

The cordless design eliminates the need for a power outlet and reduces cable clutter on site, while the 260 mm blade provides deeper cutting capacity compared with smaller handheld saws. Compatibility with the Makita 40 V system ensures access to high-capacity batteries and faster work cycles. The tool is engineered for stable, accurate cutting and improved user control during straight and bevel cuts in various wood-based materials.

Suitable for

• Crosscuts and rip cuts in solid timber and dimensional lumber
• Cutting sheet materials such as plywood, OSB and MDF
• On-site cutting where mains power is not available or practical
• Bevel and angled cuts for trim, framing and joinery work

Key specifications

• Blade diameter: 260 mm
• Power source: 40 V battery platform (cordless)
• Suitable material: wood and wood-based sheet materials
• Cutting modes: straight and angled/bevel cuts
• Portability: handheld design for on-site use

How to use

Before use, fit a compatible 260 mm saw blade and secure the battery according to the manufacturer's instructions. Mark the cut line on the workpiece and adjust the cutting depth and bevel angle to the required settings. Position the saw so the base plate rests flat on the material, align the blade with the marked line, and start the tool while maintaining a steady forward feed. Allow the blade to reach operating speed before entering the material and avoid forcing the saw; let the blade cut at its intended pace for best results. After cutting, switch the tool off and wait until the blade has stopped completely before setting it down.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment—safety glasses, hearing protection and cut-resistant gloves—and secure workpieces with clamps. Choose blades designed for the specific material and thickness to ensure clean cuts and prolonged blade life. For extended work sessions, use high-capacity batteries from the same 40 V platform and follow recommended charging and storage practices.
