Coax-adapter ShiverPeaks 82020-1M — metalen schroefverbinding, coax-adapter

The ShiverPeaks 82020-1M coaxial connector is a metal screw-connection adapter engineered to provide stable RF signal transmission in cable and antenna assemblies. Its threaded metal body and screw-fastening design deliver a secure mechanical and electrical joint for installations, maintenance work, and equipment connections where a durable coaxial interface is required.

Advantages

The metal construction offers mechanical strength and electromagnetic shielding, while the screw connection ensures consistent contact pressure and vibration resistance. The adapter is compatible with common coaxial cable assemblies and mating connectors, providing predictable impedance behavior and minimizing signal loss when properly installed.

Suitable for

• Repair and replacement of coaxial cable connectors
• Connecting antennas to radio or RF equipment
• Temporary and permanent installations requiring threaded coaxial joints
• Laboratory and test setups where a reliable metal connector is needed

Key specifications

• Connector type: metal screw-connection coaxial adapter
• Construction: full metal body for mechanical durability and shielding
• Connection method: threaded screw fastening for secure contact
• Application: RF signal transmission for cable assemblies and antenna connections
• Mechanical properties: vibration-resistant when correctly tightened

How to use

Strip and prepare the coaxial cable according to the cable manufacturer’s guidelines, ensuring correct conductor and dielectric exposure. Thread the adapter onto the mating connector or cable termination, and tighten to a firm hand or specified torque if available; avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the connector or cable. Verify continuity and impedance match with appropriate test equipment after installation to ensure proper RF performance.

Recommendations

For best results, use the adapter with compatible coaxial cables and mating connectors, and perform a visual inspection and electrical test after installation. In environments with mechanical vibration or outdoor exposure, confirm that seals and supporting hardware are appropriate to maintain long-term reliability.
