Contour Design Active Key AK-4100 toetsenbord office PS/2 QWERTY US Engels zwart

The Active Key AK-4100 is a tenkeyless office keyboard with a PS/2 wired connection, designed for space-constrained environments such as racks, kiosks and compact workstations. It uses scissors balancing key technology and full-size 19.05 mm keycaps in a low-profile (25 mm) housing to combine desktop functionality with a small footprint and reliable typing feel.

Advantages

Scissors balancing key technology improves off-center key actuation and provides a soft tactile response for comfortable typing. The tenkeyless layout reduces overall width while retaining full-size keycaps for familiar key spacing. The low-profile design suits installations where vertical clearance is limited. A 1.8 m cable and wired PS/2 interface ensure stable connectivity for legacy and dedicated systems.

Suitable for

• Office workstations with limited desk space
• Rack-mounted consoles and server rooms
• Kiosk and POS systems
• Environments requiring PS/2 connectivity

The tenkeyless layout provides standard typing positions; use the keyboard as you would a regular desktop keyboard. No drivers are typically required for basic PS/2 functionality on supporting systems.

Recommendations

For best performance, connect directly to the computer’s PS/2 port rather than through adapters. Use in environments where low-profile keyboards and reliable wired connections are preferred; avoid exposure to liquids and heavy debris to maintain switch performance.
