The COUGAR Gaming GEX850 850 W power supply unit delivers 850 W of continuous power with 80 PLUS Gold-level efficiency, helping reduce energy consumption. It is designed for desktop PCs and includes a 20+4 pin ATX motherboard connector, multiple SATA power cable lengths (450, 570, 690, 810 mm), and a 60 cm PCI Express power cable. The PSU accepts AC input 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz, uses an active 120 mm cooling fan and measures 160 x 150 x 86 mm.

Advantages

The GEX850 exceeds the 80 PLUS Gold standard with up to 91% efficiency, lowering electricity costs during typical loads. An exclusive 120 mm silent fan and a refined fan frame provide concentrated airflow and reduced vibration for quieter operation. Components are selected for durability: 105°C Japanese capacitors and design validation for operation at 40°C ambient temperature ensure stable long-term performance. The power stage uses LLC, DC-DC conversion and Tri-Sense regulation for tight voltage control within ±3%.

Suitable for

  • Gaming desktop PCs requiring an 850 W power supply
  • High-performance builds with multiple SATA devices and PCIe cards
  • Systems where efficient, stable power and compact cable routing are important

Key specifications

  • Total power: 850 W
  • Efficiency: 91% (80 PLUS Gold level)
  • Motherboard connector: 20+4 pin ATX
  • Fan diameter: 120 mm active cooling fan
  • AC input: 100–240 V, 50–60 Hz
  • Cable lengths: SATA 450 / 570 / 690 / 810 mm; PCIe 600 mm
  • Dimensions: 160 x 150 x 86 mm
  • Weight: 1.56 kg
  • Colour: Black

How to use

Install the COUGAR GEX850 into a compatible ATX case and secure it with the supplied screws. Connect the 20+4 pin ATX connector to the motherboard, attach the PCIe power cable(s) to graphics cards as required, and route SATA power connectors to storage devices using the modular cables. Ensure the AC input matches 100–240 V and connect to a properly grounded outlet. Maintain airflow inside the case and allow adequate clearance for the 120 mm fan.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, keep the PSU and system ventilation free of dust, avoid exceeding the rated total system power, and use a compatible surge protector or UPS when needed. Operate within ambient temperatures up to 40°C to match the tested conditions for long-term stability.
