D-Sub-kabel ShiverPeaks AK 4010 – 25-polig stekker op stekker, 1,8 m

The ShiverPeaks AK 4010 D-Sub cable is a 25-pin male-to-male connection cable with a length of 1.8 m, designed to provide direct D-Sub 25 connectivity between compatible equipment. It is intended for use with serial and parallel legacy interfaces, enabling signal and data transmission between industrial controllers, measurement instruments, older PCs and other devices that accept a standard male D-Sub 25 interface. The cable construction supports stable electrical contact and straightforward plug-and-play connection where a male-to-male D-Sub 25 lead is required.

Advantages

The cable offers a standard 25-pin D-Sub pinout that matches established legacy interfaces, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices that use D-Sub 25 connectors. Its 1.8 m length provides a balance of reach and cable management for bench and rack applications. The fixed male-to-male configuration eliminates the need for adapters when connecting two devices with female D-Sub 25 ports, and the robust connector housings help maintain reliable mechanical and electrical connection in typical industrial and laboratory environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting industrial controllers and PLCs with D-Sub 25 ports
• Linking measurement and test equipment to data acquisition systems
• Interfacing older PCs, workstations or printers that use D-Sub 25
• Temporary or permanent signal routing in control cabinets and lab benches

Key specifications

• Connector type: 25-pin D-Sub (male) on both ends
• Cable length: 1.8 m
• Contact configuration: full 25-pin wiring for standard D-Sub signals
• Intended use: signal and data transmission for serial/parallel legacy interfaces
• Typical environments: industrial, laboratory, office and workshop installations

How to use

Align each male D-Sub 25 connector with the mating female port on the devices to be connected, then secure the connectors using the built-in fastening screws to ensure a stable mechanical and electrical connection. Use the cable for direct device-to-device connections where both ends provide female D-Sub 25 sockets. Avoid forcing the connector at an angle to prevent bent pins. For routing, keep the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference and sharp edges that could damage the cable jacket.

Recommendations

For reliable signal transmission, verify the pinout compatibility of connected devices before use and avoid excessive bending near the connector ends. In industrial installations, support the cable to relieve strain on the connector shells and periodically inspect contact screws and connector integrity to maintain consistent performance.
