DECT-basisstation Gigaset N870 IP Pro

The Gigaset N870 Multicell System is a scalable DECT IP multicell solution that provides reliable mobile communication for small and medium-sized businesses and larger sites. It combines DECT base stations and a DECT manager to deliver seamless coverage, HD audio quality and interoperability with IP on-premise and cloud telephony services. The system supports deployments from small installations to enterprise-level networks, enabling roaming and seamless handover between zones.

Advantages

The system offers end-to-end security with DECT digital encryption plus SIP security (SRTP/SIPS/TLS), LDAP(S) and HTTPS. It is highly scalable — supporting multiple system sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL) and allowing expansion across locations or floors using the Gigaset Integrator. Compatibility with Gigaset professional handsets and many platforms ensures flexible connectivity. Administrators benefit from simplified provisioning and an intuitive web interface for fast configuration.

Key specifications

• Support for up to 250 (20,000) handsets per multicell system
• Up to 60 (6,000) simultaneous calls per multicell system
• Security: DECT encryption plus SRTP, SIPS, TLS, LDAP(S) and HTTPS
• Scalability: S, M, L, XL, XXL deployments; Gigaset Integrator for multi-site integration
• Interoperability with leading IP telephony platforms and cloud services
• Compatibility with Gigaset professional handsets

How to use

Install DECT base stations and connect the DECT manager to your IP network following the vendor documentation. Use the web-based interface to perform zero-touch provisioning, import XML profiles if required and configure SIP parameters for your telephony platform. For larger deployments, deploy multiple multicell systems and enable the Gigaset Integrator to link sites and enable roaming and seamless handover across zones.

Recommendations

For best results, plan coverage and handset capacity according to site layout and expected simultaneous call volume, consult the Gigaset compatibility wiki for handset and platform interoperability, and apply SIP security (SRTP/SIPS/TLS) together with LDAP(S)/HTTPS for end-to-end protection.
