Deels gevulde splitsbox EFB Elektronik SC-SC OM3

The EFB Elektronik Partially Assembled Splice Box SC-SC OM3 is a 19" compatible, partly assembled fiber optic splice box in a grey metal housing (483 mm × 244 mm × 44.5 mm). It includes one preinstalled splice cassette with a single splice holder and space for up to four splice cassettes, sliding unit for front access, and rear cable entries. The unit comes with screwed plastic SC adapters and is designed to secure and organise OM3 fiber splices while allowing easy access for installation and maintenance.

Advantages

The metal housing provides robust mechanical protection and electromagnetic shielding while the sliding front unit allows safe, tool-accessible handling of splice cassettes. Preinstalled splice cassette and plastic SC adapters reduce onsite assembly time. Rear cable entries and clear cassette capacity support tidy cable management and scalable installation.

Suitable for

• Fiber optic installations using SC-SC OM3 duplex connections
• Telecommunications racks and 19" cabinets
• Patch panels and distribution points requiring up to four splice cassettes
• Environments needing secure, organised fiber splicing and rear cable entry

How to use

Mount the splice box in a 19" rack or cabinet using the standard mounting holes. Route incoming and outgoing fiber cables through the rear cable entries, secure cables with appropriate strain relief, and place fibers into the supplied splice cassette. Use the splice holder inside the cassette to protect individual splices, and install additional cassettes as needed up to the supported capacity. Close and screw the front panel for normal operation; slide the front unit outward when accessing cassettes for maintenance.

Recommendations

Use factory-cleaned connectors and follow standard fiber handling practices (cleaning, proper bending radius, and strain relief). Ensure splices are performed in a clean environment and verify OM3 fiber polarity and testing after installation to confirm insertion loss and continuity.
