DeLOCK fiber optical kabel LC Duplex naar LC Duplex OM3 1m

The DeLOCK Fiber Optical Cable LC Duplex to LC Duplex OM3 1m is a multimode fiber patch cable designed for high-speed network connections. With LC duplex connectors on both ends and OM3 specification, the 1‑metre cable supports full‑duplex communication between devices such as switches, media converters and transceivers. The cable features a metal armouring for increased mechanical protection while remaining flexible.

Advantages

The metal armouring gives enhanced protection against moisture, dust and damage from external influences including rodents, while the OM3 multimode fibre supports high data rates and reliable transmission. LC duplex connectors provide compact, standardized connectivity for modern networking equipment, and the short 1 m length is suitable for tidy, low-latency interconnections in racks and patch panels.

How to use

Route the cable between the two networking devices ensuring the LC connectors are aligned with the corresponding ports. Clean connector end faces before insertion to avoid signal loss. Insert each LC connector into the device port until it clicks into place. Avoid tight bends and excessive tensile load on the cable; maintain recommended bend radius for OM3 multimode fibre. To remove, depress the connector latch and pull straight out.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector boots when routing and avoid sharp bends or kinks. Inspect and, if necessary, clean connector end faces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before installation. Use the cable for short multimode links (1 m) in controlled environments such as racks, patch panels and server cabinets.
