DeLOCK glasvezel-kabelconnector LC Duplex bus naar LC Duplex bus OM4 waterdicht

The DeLOCK Optical Fiber Cable Connector LC Duplex female to LC Duplex female OM4 waterproof joins two LC Duplex fiber cables to create a sealed, stable connection suitable for outdoor environments. Designed for OM4 fiber, the connector provides protection against dust and water while maintaining signal integrity for network installations.

Advantages

The connector is rated IP68 for dust and waterproof protection, reducing the risk of contamination and moisture ingress at the joint. Its LC Duplex female to LC Duplex female configuration supports easy inline coupling of OM4 fiber cables and offers a compact form factor for space-constrained installations. The sealed design increases connection durability in outdoor or harsh conditions.

Suitable for

• Outdoor fiber network extensions
• Telecommunications and data center interconnects where OM4 fiber is used
• Industrial environments requiring dust- and water-resistant fiber joints
• Temporary or permanent inline fiber repairs and couplings

How to use

Align the LC Duplex ferrules of the two OM4 fiber cables and insert them into the respective female ports of the connector until they are seated. Ensure cable ends are clean and free of dust before making the connection to minimize signal loss. After insertion, verify the mechanical fit and, if applicable, secure any external housing or locking mechanism to maintain the IP68 seal.

Recommendations

Perform connector end-face cleaning with an appropriate fiber cleaning tool before connection and inspect the joint with a visual fault locator or microscope. Use the connector within the specified environmental limits and check seals after installation to preserve IP68 protection.
