DeLOCK glasvezelstekker SC simplex bus naar SC simplex bus OM4 waterdicht

The DeLOCK Optical Fiber Cable Connector SC Simplex female to SC Simplex female OM4 waterproof couples two SC simplex fiber optic cables. Designed for outdoor environments, the connector provides a sealed interface compatible with OM4 multimode fiber and creates a dust- and waterproof connection for network and telecommunication links.

Advantages

The connector features an IP68-rated enclosure that protects the fiber coupling from dust and moisture. Female-to-female SC simplex termination allows straightforward inline joining of two cables without adapters. The construction is suitable for OM4 multimode fiber, ensuring compatibility with higher-bandwidth multimode systems used in local networks and short-distance links.

Suitable for

• Outdoor fiber optic cable splicing and extensions
• Telecommunication and network link repair
• Temporary or permanent protected fiber connections in harsh environments

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC Simplex female to SC Simplex female
• Fiber type compatibility: OM4 (multimode)
• Ingress protection: IP68 (dust and waterproof)
• Brand: DELOCK
• Manufacturer part number (MPN): 87872

How to use

Align the SC simplex terminations of the two fiber cables and insert each into the corresponding female port of the coupler until they click or seat securely. Ensure cable jackets and ferrules are clean prior to connection to minimise insertion loss. Close any sealing components provided by the coupler to engage the IP68 protection before placing the assembly outdoors or into wet environments.

Recommendations

For reliable optical performance, clean fiber endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before mating and verify connections with an optical power meter or visual fault locator. Use the connector within the specified fiber type (OM4) and avoid excessive bending or tensile load on the fibers at the joint.
