DELOCK kabelbeschermingsslang zelfsluitend dubbellaags 5 m x 19 mm zwart

DELOCK Cable Protection Sleeve self-closing double-layer 5 m x 19 mm black is a flexible braided sleeve designed to bundle and protect cables, wires and small hoses. The 5 m length and 19 mm diameter suit a wide range of cable harnesses for office desks, AV installations, server cabinets and home entertainment systems. The sleeve’s self-closing construction enables tool-free installation and its double-layer build increases mechanical stability and abrasion resistance.

Advantages

The double-layer design provides enhanced protection against abrasion, kinking and mechanical stress while maintaining flexibility for routing in confined spaces. A visible wear indicator layer helps detect heavy wear early so the sleeve can be inspected or replaced before cable damage occurs. The sleeve is reusable and manufactured from polyester monofilament and multifilament to combine durability with a low profile. The product is rated to operate in a wide temperature range and meets common flammability standards.

Suitable for

• Bundling and protecting power, data and AV cables behind desks and entertainment units
• Neat routing of cables in server racks and network cabinets
• Organizing cable runs in offices, meeting rooms and home workstations
• Protecting wiring where mechanical abrasion or frequent movement occurs

When it may not be suitable

The sleeve is intended for hand-installation around groups of cables and is not designed to provide full electrical insulation or shielding against electromagnetic interference. For very thick cable bundles or applications requiring rigid conduit or certified flameproof conduit, this braided sleeve may not provide the required mechanical strength or regulatory compliance. If a permanently sealed or watertight cable route is needed, choose a purpose-built sealed conduit instead.

Key specifications

• Length: 5 m
• Nominal diameter: 19 mm
• Construction: self-closing braided sleeve, double-layer
• Material: polyester monofilament and multifilament
• Temperature range: -40 °C to 150 °C
• Flammability class: UL 94
• Reusable: yes
• Wear indicator: contrasting inner layer visible when outer layer is worn

How to use

Insert the cable bundle into the open end of the self-closing sleeve and guide the sleeve along the cables until the required length is covered. Because of the braided, self-closing design, the sleeve conforms around cables without the need for tools or additional fasteners; cut to length with scissors when installation is complete. For neat terminations, secure the sleeve ends with cable ties or heat-shrink tubing where required. Inspect the visible wear indicator periodically and replace the sleeve if the underlying contrasting layer becomes exposed.

What to consider before purchase

• Measure the total diameter of the cable bundle to ensure 19 mm nominal diameter is sufficient
• Check temperature conditions of the installation environment against the -40 °C to 150 °C rating
• Consider whether electromagnetic shielding, full electrical insulation or watertight protection is required
• Decide if a single 5 m length is enough or if additional lengths will be needed for multiple runs

Recommendations

For best results, route cables through the sleeve before connecting plugs and connectors. Use cable ties or heat-shrink at termination points to prevent fraying, and replace the sleeve if the inner contrasting wear indicator becomes visible to maintain reliable protection.
