Switch 8-poorts RJ-45 Delta Energy Systems EXPERT-SFP-8/2 Managed Layer 2 met SFP-uplinks

Delta Energy Systems EXPERT-SFP-8/2 is a managed Layer 2 Ethernet switch with eight RJ-45 ports and SFP uplink capability, designed for small to medium installations. It provides centralized management, VLAN support and traffic control functions to segment networks and enforce policies. The switch supports standard Layer 2 features required for reliable wired connectivity in office and industrial environments where Ethernet switching with optional fiber uplinks is needed.

Advantages

The switch offers eight copper ports for device connectivity combined with SFP slots for flexible fiber uplinks, enabling mixed-media network designs. Centralized management simplifies configuration and monitoring of VLANs, port settings and traffic policies. Advanced Layer 2 features such as MAC learning, link aggregation and traffic controls help maintain predictable network behavior and performance. Its form factor and port layout are suitable for rack or cabinet installations in constrained spaces.

How to use

Install the switch in a suitable cabinet or on a shelf and connect power according to site requirements. Use the RJ-45 ports to connect end devices and the SFP slots for uplinks to a backbone or another switch using appropriate SFP modules. Access the management interface to configure VLANs, port settings, link aggregation and traffic policies. Verify link status and monitor port statistics to confirm correct operation and optimize performance.

Recommendations

For stable operation, place the switch in a ventilated environment within the recommended temperature range and use quality cables and certified SFP modules. Plan VLAN and QoS settings before deployment to minimise reconfiguration. For redundant paths, configure link aggregation or use multiple SFP uplinks where supported.
