Digitaal weerstation Netatmo NIM-S zand — binnenthermometer, hygrometer, luchtkwaliteit, batterijgevoed (AAA)

Netatmo NIM-S Sand is a compact indoor digital weather station module designed to monitor room climate and air quality. It measures temperature, relative humidity and CO2 concentration and transmits readings to a compatible Netatmo base unit or smart home system. The unit has no built-in display and runs on four AAA 1.5 V batteries, enabling flexible placement. With a lightweight 0.13 kg sand-coloured enclosure, the sensor integrates unobtrusively into living rooms, bedrooms, offices and other indoor spaces to provide continuous data for climate control and ventilation decisions.

Advantages

The module delivers continuous, machine-readable measurements of temperature, humidity and air quality suitable for smart home integrations and remote monitoring. It pairs wirelessly with a Netatmo base unit to provide real-time readings and configurable alerts for CO2 and humidity levels. The compact sand-coloured design allows discreet placement in a variety of interiors, and battery power removes the need for fixed wiring, increasing installation flexibility. Recorded extremum values for thermometer and hygrometer help track peak conditions over time.

Suitable for

• Monitoring indoor air quality in homes and apartments
• Tracking room climate in bedrooms, living rooms and nurseries
• Office spaces and small commercial interiors
• Integration with Netatmo smart home systems for automated ventilation and heating control

Key specifications

• Measured parameters: temperature, relative humidity, CO2 concentration
• Power: four AAA 1.5 V batteries (battery-powered)
• Weight: 0.13 kg
• Built-in display: none (requires compatible base unit or app for readout)
• Housing colour: sand
• Intended use: indoor environments (living spaces, offices)

How to use

Place the Netatmo NIM-S Sand module in a representative location of the room you want to monitor, avoiding direct sunlight, heaters, air vents and drafts to ensure accurate readings. Install fresh AAA batteries, then follow the manufacturer’s pairing procedure to connect the module to a compatible Netatmo base unit or supported smart home hub. After pairing, view live measurements, historical graphs and alert settings in the Netatmo app or integrated smart home dashboard. Use recorded data and alerts to inform ventilation, heating or dehumidification adjustments.

Recommendations

Position the module at approximately 1–1.5 m height in spaces where people spend most time for representative readings. Do not place the sensor on windowsills, directly adjacent to radiators or inside enclosed cabinets. Periodically check battery level in the app and replace AAA batteries as needed. Keep the module firmware up to date via the base unit to maintain measurement accuracy and alert performance.
