Displaypaneel Lian Li SM088W — universeel behuizingsdisplay, wit, 237×73×13 mm, 5 V ingang

The Lian Li SM088W Universal Display is an 8.8" IPS LCD designed for integration into PC builds and external mounting. With a 1920×480 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness, the USB-powered screen functions as an independent display for animations, system statistics, images or video. The module is available in white and offers a slim 13 mm profile and a 237 mm length for compact, space-efficient installation.

Advantages

The display connects via USB without occupying GPU outputs and supports plug-and-play operation through a motherboard USB 9-pin header or a rear I/O Type-A port. It includes ARGB edge lighting controllable with L-Connect 3, a sliding rail and hinge system for precise angle adjustment, and multiple mounting options including 120 mm fan mounts with an adapter for 140 mm, adhesive flat-surface mounting, and three built-in mounting positions.

Suitable for

• Custom PC builds with minimalist or high-performance aesthetics
• Displaying system information (CPU/GPU metrics, temperatures)
• Showing custom animations, images or video playback
• Multi-screen setups or portrait/landscape orientation requirements

Connect the screen to a motherboard USB 9-pin header or a rear-panel USB Type-A port to power the device; no GPU output is required. Install L-Connect 3 on the host PC to customize templates, upload MP4/GIF/JPG/PNG content, control ARGB lighting, configure multi-screen arrangements, and enable secondary-screen or offline clock modes.

Recommendations

For optimal visibility, adjust the sliding rail and hinge to minimize glare and set the viewing angle toward the primary user. Use the adhesive mounting option on clean, flat surfaces and ensure the USB power source provides stable 5 V power. Manage content and lighting through L-Connect 3 and limit continuous high-brightness use if long-term power-on is expected.
