DisplayPort-naar-HDMI-adapter Dell PGFHY, DisplayPort naar HDMI 4K-ondersteuning (model PGFHY)

Dell PGFHY is a compact DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter designed to connect a DisplayPort video source to an HDMI display. The adapter supports 4K resolution for compatible source and display devices and converts a DisplayPort output into an HDMI signal without requiring external power. Its small form factor makes it portable and easy to carry with a laptop or include in a meeting or home entertainment setup.

Advantages

The adapter provides a straightforward plug-and-play solution for transmitting video from DisplayPort-equipped computers to HDMI monitors, TVs or projectors. Its support for 4K resolution ensures compatibility with high-resolution displays, while the compact design minimizes cable clutter and simplifies setup. No additional drivers are required for most modern operating systems, which reduces configuration time during presentations or when switching displays.

Suitable for

• Connecting laptops or desktop PCs with DisplayPort output to HDMI monitors or TVs
• Presentations and meetings where HDMI projectors or displays are used
• Home entertainment setups that require converting a DisplayPort source to HDMI
• Portable workstations and travel kits needing a small, lightweight adapter

Key specifications

• Interface: DisplayPort (source) to HDMI (display)
• Video support: up to 4K resolution (depending on source and display capabilities)
• Power: bus-powered via DisplayPort connection (no external power supply required)
• Form factor: compact, lightweight adapter suitable for portable use
• Compatibility: works with systems that provide a DisplayPort video output and HDMI displays

How to use

Plug the DisplayPort end of the Dell PGFHY adapter into the DisplayPort output on your computer, then connect an HDMI cable from the adapter’s HDMI port to the HDMI input on your monitor, TV or projector. Switch the display input to the appropriate HDMI source and configure the display settings on your computer as needed to select resolution and display mode (duplicate, extend, or single display). For best results, ensure both source and display support the desired resolution and refresh rate.

Recommendations

Use a high-quality HDMI cable rated for the target resolution (for example, an HDMI cable certified for 4K) and avoid excessive cable bending near the adapter to preserve connector integrity. If the display does not show an image, check display input selection, confirm DisplayPort output is enabled in the system settings, and try rebooting the source device. Keep the adapter in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
