Draadloos access point Cisco Catalyst 9105AXI-E Wi-Fi 6

The Cisco Catalyst 9105 Access Point extends Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) capabilities with features for high-density environments, enhanced resiliency, network intelligence and support for hosting IoT applications. Designed for flexible deployment, the device is available with a ceiling mount option suitable for remote workers, branch offices and small-to-medium installations, and a wall mount option intended for hospitality, residence halls and other multi-dwelling units.

Advantages

The Catalyst 9105 combines Wi‑Fi 6 performance with enterprise-grade resiliency and built‑in network intelligence, enabling reliable wireless connectivity in crowded environments. Its support for IoT application hosting simplifies integration of sensors and smart devices. Two mounting options—ceiling and wall—allow tailored installation across offices, hospitality venues and multi-dwelling locations.

Key specifications

• Standard: Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax)
• Deployment types: ceiling mount, wall mount
• Use cases: high-density environments, branch offices, hospitality, residence halls, multi-dwelling units
• Features: network intelligence, IoT application hosting, enhanced resiliency

How to use

Choose the mounting option that matches the installation site: ceiling mount for open-plan offices and branch locations, or wall mount for hospitality and residential corridors. Integrate the access point into the existing network through standard provisioning tools and configure SSIDs, security settings and IoT application containers according to organisational requirements. Monitor performance and adjust placement or radio settings as needed to optimise coverage and capacity.

Recommendations

For best results, place ceiling-mounted units centrally in open areas to serve high-density client populations and deploy wall-mounted units in corridors or rooms where directed coverage is required. Ensure firmware and IoT host software are kept up to date and follow Cisco guidelines for channel planning and power settings.
