The LANCOM LX-6500 is a tri-band wireless access point that supports 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and the new 6 GHz Wi‑Fi 6E band to provide higher aggregated throughput and lower interference in busy WLAN environments. With simultaneous operation across three frequency bands the device delivers multi-gigabit aggregated data rates and is designed for business and enterprise deployments requiring high capacity, low latency and reliable client distribution across available radio spectra.

Advantages

The LX-6500 uses Wi‑Fi 6E (IEEE 802.11ax) to open the interference-reduced 6 GHz band and increase available radio spectrum, enabling aggregated data rates up to 8.4 Gbps through concurrent use of 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz. It supports 4x4 MU‑MIMO in both downlink and uplink for improved multi-client capacity, OFDMA for efficient handling of mixed traffic including small IoT packets, and Target Wake Time (TWT) to reduce client power consumption. How to use

Install the LX-6500 in a suitable ceiling or wall location with good coverage for client devices. Provide power via a PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) port on a switch or use the optional power supply unit. Configure the access point either centrally through the LANCOM Management Cloud or via a local WEBconfig interface; alternatively register and manage it using a WLAN controller. Create SSIDs and assign radio settings to distribute clients across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands for optimal performance. Enable relevant features (MU‑MIMO, OFDMA, TWT) and configure security (EAP methods) according to your network policy.

Recommendations
