Draagbare barcodescanner Socket Mobile S740 — 1D/2D LED, Bluetooth, NiMH AA, 10 m bereik, zwart

Socket Mobile S740 is a compact handheld barcode scanner that reads both 1D and 2D barcodes with an LED imaging sensor. The device connects to host systems wirelessly via Bluetooth and is powered by replaceable AA NiMH batteries. With an approximate wireless range of 10 m and a lightweight ergonomic body (about 117 g), the S740 is designed for continuous use in retail, inventory and mobile point-of-sale environments. Visual indicators show battery status, Bluetooth connectivity and scanning feedback, and the scanner is compatible with existing applications designed for prior Socket Mobile scanners.

Advantages

The S740 combines 1D/2D imaging performance with Bluetooth wireless convenience in a compact form factor. Its LED sensor enables scanning from paper labels and screens, while visible status lights simplify device monitoring during shifts. Use of standard AA NiMH batteries means quick replacement without proprietary battery packs. The scanner supports integration via Socket Mobile’s Capture SDK and is compatible with previous Socket Mobile applications, reducing the need for software changes.

How to use

Install AA NiMH batteries, power on the scanner and pair it with your host device via Bluetooth following the on-screen or application pairing instructions. Aim the scanner at the barcode until the scan LED confirms a successful read, and verify that the captured data appears in the connected application. For configuration or advanced integration, use Socket Mobile’s Companion App for setup and the Capture SDK to embed scanning functions into custom applications. The scanner can read barcodes on both printed labels and device screens; adjust distance and angle slightly if a code is not recognized on first attempt.

Recommendations

To maximize uptime, keep a set of charged AA NiMH replacement batteries available and periodically check indicator LEDs for battery and Bluetooth status. Clean the scanning window gently with a soft, lint-free cloth to maintain read reliability, and update host applications or SDK integrations as needed to ensure full compatibility with the S740’s features.
