Dubbelzijdig schuimmontageband Tesa 4952, wit, 19 mm x 5 m, acrylkern, binnen

Tesa 4952 double-sided foam mounting tape is a white, acrylic-core adhesive tape designed for indoor fastening on smooth surfaces. With a width of 19 mm, a length of 5 m and a thickness of 1.15 mm, this tape provides a discreet fixing method for trims, hooks, signs and other lightweight fixtures. The acrylic foam carrier offers elasticity and a high elongation at break (200%), while the material tolerates temperatures up to 80 °C. The product is supplied as a single roll and is intended for applications where drilling is undesired or impractical.

Advantages

Tesa 4952 combines an acrylic foam core with pressure-sensitive adhesive on both sides to create a durable bond on smooth substrates. The tape’s 1.15 mm thickness and 200% elongation at break allow it to absorb small movements and compensate for minor surface irregularities. Its white colour and slim 19 mm width make it visually unobtrusive for visible joins and light fixtures. The rated temperature resistance up to 80 °C supports use in typical indoor environments.

Suitable for

• Mounting decorative trims and mouldings on smooth walls and panels
• Attaching lightweight hooks and cable clips without drilling
• Fixing signs, nameplates and photo frames on interior surfaces
• Temporary or semi-permanent bonding of lightweight components in shops or displays

When it may not be suitable

This tape is intended for indoor use on smooth surfaces; it is not formulated for long-term outdoor exposure or for rough, porous, hot or damp surfaces. It is not recommended for heavy loads or critical structural fastening where mechanical fasteners are required. Performance may be reduced on uneven, dusty, oily or freshly painted surfaces.

Key specifications

• Colour: White
• Carrier type: Acrylic foam
• Width: 19 mm
• Length: 5 m
• Thickness: 1.15 mm
• Elongation at break: 200%
• Temperature resistance: up to 80 °C
• Intended use: Indoor, smooth surfaces

How to use

Ensure both surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, oil or loose particles. Cut the required length of tape and remove the protective liner. Press the tape firmly onto the object to be mounted, then remove the remaining liner and press the object onto the target surface with even pressure for several seconds to ensure good contact. Allow an initial bonding time before applying load; full adhesive strength develops over time. For best results, apply at room temperature and avoid repositioning after firm contact.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended surface type — designed for smooth, clean indoor substrates
• Load requirements — suitable only for lightweight fixtures and non-structural uses
• Environmental conditions — rated to 80 °C and not recommended for outdoor exposure
• Appearance — white colour and 19 mm width may be visible on some applications

Recommendations

For reliable results, test on a small inconspicuous area before full application, follow surface preparation steps, and allow adequate bonding time. Use multiple strips for increased load distribution and avoid mounting on textured or contaminated surfaces.
