EFB EK499.1,8 UK-netkabel BS 1363A naar IEC C5 1,8 m zwart 3x0,75 mm²

When your laptop power adapter's cloverleaf cable frays or gets lost, this EFB EK499.1,8 steps in as a dependable replacement. It links a standard UK wall socket (BS 1363A) to any device with an IEC C5 inlet—commonly found on notebook power bricks, small projectors, and some audio equipment. The 1.8-metre length gives you enough reach to plug into a wall outlet behind a desk or under a conference table without creating a trip hazard.

Why choose it

Built with a flexible PVC jacket and three stranded copper conductors, this cable resists everyday bending and twisting. The moulded connectors provide strain relief, reducing the risk of internal wire breakage at the plug ends. Its 0.75 mm² cross-section safely handles the modest power draw of laptop adapters and similar devices, while the UK plug includes a fuse for added protection.

Ideal use cases

• Replacing a lost or damaged power cord for a laptop power supply with a C5 connector.
• Keeping a spare cable in an office or IT toolkit for quick swaps.
• Powering small projectors, portable printers, or audio equipment that use a cloverleaf inlet.
• Use in homes, offices, schools, or anywhere UK mains sockets are standard.

Good to know

The C5 connector is often called a "Mickey Mouse" or cloverleaf plug due to its shape. This cable is not suitable for high-power appliances like kettles or heaters; it is intended for low-current devices up to 2.5 A. Always ensure the connected device's voltage and current requirements match the cable's ratings.
