Batterij Electronic AM 18-12 VRLA AGM 12 V 18 Ah

The EMU Electronic AM 18-12 is a sealed, maintenance-free VRLA AGM lead-acid battery with a nominal voltage of 12 V and a capacity of 18 Ah. Designed for a service life of 10–12 years, the electrolyte is absorbed into porous glass-fiber separators and the battery uses an internal gas recombination cycle to minimise electrolyte loss. One-way self-regulating pressure relief valves prevent excessive pressure build-up, allowing safe installation in occupied rooms without forced ventilation.

Advantages

Compact and relatively lightweight at 5.67 kg, the EMU AM 18-12 provides a stable power source with long designed lifetime and low maintenance requirements. AGM construction reduces the risk of leakage and enables safe operation in enclosed spaces. Built-in pressure relief valves and valve-regulated design increase operational safety.

Suitable for

• Emergency lighting systems
• Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
• Alarm and security systems
• Telecom and standby power applications

How to use

Install the EMU Electronic AM 18-12 in accordance with the UPS, emergency lighting or equipment manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring correct polarity and secure terminal connections. Charge and maintain the battery using a charger or float system compatible with VRLA/AGM lead-acid chemistry. Avoid short-circuiting the terminals and protect the battery from sustained high temperatures to preserve service life.

Recommendations

Store and operate the battery in a dry, well-ventilated area within the temperature range specified by the equipment manufacturer. Periodically check terminal connections for corrosion and ensure the charging system provides the correct float voltage for AGM batteries to maximise lifespan.
