The Homematic IP dimmer actuator for branded switches lets you easily integrate an existing lighting system into a Homematic IP smart home system. Thanks to its compact form factor, the dimmer actuator fits comfortably into standard flush-mounted boxes. Existing switches can be replaced in just a few steps, provided a neutral conductor is present in the flush-mounted box alongside the phase. As a trailing-edge phase-cut dimmer, it is particularly suited to classic incandescent bulbs, mains-voltage halogen lamps, low-voltage halogen lamps with electronic transformers, and dimmable energy-saving and LED lamps. The maximum switching capacity is 80 VA. Right after commissioning, light output can be dimmed conveniently in 0.5% increments via the free Homematic IP app, while classic operation via the wall switch is of course retained. Thanks to numerous available adapter plates, the dimmer actuator can also be integrated into the most common switch designs from Busch-Jaeger, Gira, Merten, Berker, Jung, duwi and Kopp. Standby power consumption is a low 0.4 W.
