Ethernet-patchkabel ShiverPeaks 75512-Y S/FTP halogeenvrij 2,0 m

The ShiverPeaks Ethernet Patch Cable 75512-Y is a 2.0 m S/FTP halogen-free cable engineered for shielded network connections. Its construction features individually foil-shielded twisted pairs plus an overall braided shield to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference (EMI). The halogen-free jacket minimizes toxic emissions in the event of fire and is suitable for installations where low smoke and low-toxicity behavior is required.

Advantages

This S/FTP cable delivers improved signal integrity through pair-level foil shielding combined with an overall braid, which reduces near-end and far-end crosstalk as well as susceptibility to external EMI. The halogen-free jacket reduces corrosive and toxic gas output under high-temperature conditions. With a 2.0 m length and standard RJ45 connectivity, the cable is convenient for patching switches, routers and other network equipment in office or data center racks where shielded cabling is required.

Suitable for

• Patching network equipment in server rooms and data centers
• Shielded connections between switches, routers and patch panels
• Office network workstations where reduced EMI and halogen-free materials are specified
• Environments with strict fire-safety or low-smoke requirements

Key specifications

• Cable type: S/FTP (individually foil-shielded pairs with overall braid)
• Length: 2.0 m
• Conductor: twisted pair copper
• Jacket: halogen-free material
• Connector type: RJ45 terminated
• Purpose: shielded Ethernet patching, reduced EMI and crosstalk

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to the network port of your switch, router or patch panel and the other RJ45 plug to the corresponding device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to maintain a secure physical and electrical contact. Use the 2.0 m length to create short patch runs inside racks or between adjacent network devices. When routing the cable, avoid tight bends and heavy mechanical stress to preserve shielding integrity and signal performance.

Recommendations

For best performance, install the cable in shielded or grounded environments so the braided and foil shields can be properly earthed. Avoid running this cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines or large electrical motors. Periodically inspect connectors for damage and replace the cable if the jacket or termination shows signs of wear.
