EXERTIS CONNECT Glasvezel-patchkabel, 50/125 µm, OM3, SC duplex naar LC duplex, turquoise, 4,0 m

In a data center, a network technician connects a 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch to a server using this EXERTIS CONNECT fiber optic patch cable. The OM3 multimode fiber supports high-speed data transfer over short distances, making it suitable for backbone and horizontal cabling in enterprise environments.

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM3, 50/125 µm core/cladding
• Connectors: SC Duplex to LC Duplex
• Length: 4.0 m
• Jacket color: Turquoise
• Jacket material: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Maximum data rate: 10 Gbps
• Insertion loss (typical): < 0.3 dB
• Return loss (typical): > 30 dB
• Modal bandwidth @ 850nm: 1500 MHz·km
• Operating temperature: -20°C to 70°C

Why choose it

The turquoise jacket identifies OM3 fiber, which is optimized for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over multimode fiber. The LSZH jacket reduces toxic smoke and corrosive gases in case of fire, making it suitable for enclosed spaces. Duplex connectors allow bidirectional communication over two fibers.

Ideal use cases

• 10GBASE-SR Ethernet links up to 300 meters
• Fibre Channel storage area networks
• Data center interconnects and backbone cabling

Good to know

This cable is pre-terminated and tested for reliable performance. OM3 fiber is backward-compatible with OM2 and OM1 systems, but maximum distances are reduced. The SC and LC connectors feature push-pull latching for secure connections.
