Externe harde schijf ADATA 1TB USB 3.2 Gen 1 HD680 — 1 TB, USB 3.2 Gen 1, zwart, draagbare HDD

The ADATA HD680 external hard drive provides 1TB of portable storage with a durable, layered construction designed to protect your data from knocks, drops and accidental shocks. It uses a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface for fast transfers and includes features such as AES 256-bit encryption, shock sensors and built-in cable management in a compact black enclosure.

Advantages

The drive meets the U.S. Military MIL-STD-810G 516.6 standard thanks to its triple-layer protection: a shock-absorbing silicone casing, a sturdy buffer and a cushioned mounting for the hard drive. This construction helps the HD680 survive falls from up to 1.22 meters. AES 256-bit encryption protects data with password access, while shock sensors provide an impact alert via a red indicator. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface offers quick data transfers and the outer groove stores the detachable USB cable for convenient portability.

Suitable for

• Backing up personal documents, photos and videos
• Expanding storage for laptops and desktops
• Transporting large files while travelling or commuting

How to use

Connect the ADATA HD680 to your computer using the supplied detachable USB cable and allow the system to recognise the drive. For first use, format the drive if required by your operating system and set a password to enable AES 256-bit encryption through the provided software or utility if available. Wrap the cable around the outer groove for transport when disconnected. If the shock sensor lights red after an impact, check the drive for errors using your operating system’s disk utility before continuing important transfers.

Recommendations

Store the HD680 in a stable place while transferring large files and avoid subjecting it to repeated impacts. Regularly back up critical data to an additional location, and enable the drive’s password protection to keep sensitive files secure.
