F-lijmklem Bessey GS40 40 cm aluminium rood

The Bessey GS40 40 cm Aluminium Red F-clamp is a lightweight, corrosion-resistant clamping tool designed for general woodworking, assembly and workshop tasks. Constructed with an aluminium body and a 40 cm clamping opening, it balances portability with usable reach. At approximately 1.95 kg it provides stable holding force while remaining easy to position and maneuver.

Advantages

The aluminium construction reduces weight compared to all-steel clamps while preserving high stiffness for reliable pressure distribution. The 40 cm throat depth accommodates medium-size panels and frames, and the ergonomic handle allows controlled tightening without excessive effort. Durable surfaces and precise sliding parts minimize stick and wear during repeated use.

Suitable for

• Woodworking and cabinetry assembly
• Gluing panels and edge joints
• Temporary holding during drilling or fastening
• Workshop and DIY repair tasks

Key specifications

• Clamping opening: 40 cm
• Body material: aluminium
• Finish: red painted components
• Approximate weight: 1.95 kg
• Clamp type: F-clamp (bar clamp)

How to use

Position the clamp so that the fixed jaw rests against one workpiece face and slide the movable jaw to contact the opposite face. Turn the handle clockwise to apply clamping force until the parts are securely held. Release by turning the handle counterclockwise and, if necessary, depress the quick-release or sliding mechanism to reposition the jaw. Ensure clamped surfaces are protected with pads if sensitive to pressure marks.

Recommendations

Use the clamp within its 40 cm opening range and avoid applying excessive torque beyond normal hand-tightening to preserve the aluminium body and threads. For delicate surfaces, add protective pads between jaws and the workpiece. Store the clamp dry to maintain moving parts and painted surfaces.
