Fineliner Stabilo dr!ver 1088/41 – blauwe inkt, 0,4 mm schrijfbreedte, zwarte schacht

The Stabilo dr!ver fineliner 1088/41 is a precision writing instrument with a black barrel and a 0.4 mm tip that produces fine, consistent blue lines. It uses water-based, low-odor ink formulated to be smudge-resistant during normal writing and drawing tasks. Supplied as a single-piece pack, this fineliner is designed for everyday use in handwriting, note-taking, sketching and technical drawing where a narrow, reliable line is required.

Advantages

The pen delivers a steady 0.4 mm line width for precise strokes and clear legibility. Its water-based blue ink dries quickly and resists smearing under typical conditions, while the low-odor formulation helps keep workspaces comfortable. The black barrel provides a neutral, professional appearance and a comfortable grip for extended writing sessions.

Suitable for

• Handwriting and everyday note-taking
• Technical sketches and fine-line drawings
• Annotating documents and forms
• Schoolwork, planners and bullet journaling

When it may not be suitable

This fineliner is intended for fine lines and detailed work; it is not suitable where broad strokes or calligraphic nibs are required. Although the ink is formulated to be smudge-resistant, it may not be fully waterproof or archival; avoid use where permanent, water- or light-fast ink is essential.

Key specifications

• Tip width: 0.4 mm (fine point)
• Ink colour: blue
• Ink type: water-based, low-odor
• Barrel colour: black
• Pack size: single pen

How to use

Hold the pen at a comfortable angle and apply light, even pressure to produce consistent 0.4 mm lines. Use on standard paper, notebooks and planners for best results. Allow a brief moment for the ink to dry before touching or stacking pages to minimise any residual transfer. Replace with a new fineliner when lines become faint or the tip shows wear.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended line width: 0.4 mm fine point for detailed work
• Ink properties: water-based and low-odor, not guaranteed waterproof or archival
• Barrel colour preference: black exterior
• Pack format: single pen — purchase quantity accordingly

Recommendations

For consistent results, use on medium-weight paper (80–100 g/m²). Store capped horizontally or with tip up to maintain ink flow. When using for technical sketches or notation, test on a corner of your paper to confirm drying time and bleed-through before committing to large areas.
