Fleshouder-basis Fidlock TWIST 590 ml antibacterieel fietsbasis

Fidlock TWIST 590 ml antibacterial bike base is a magnetic-mechanical mounting base engineered to secure a 590 ml water bottle to a bicycle frame. The system combines a magnetic alignment with a twist-lock mechanism that allows fast one-handed attachment and release. An antibacterial surface treatment reduces microbial growth on contact areas, helping maintain hygiene during regular use. The base is compatible with Fidlock TWIST bottles designed for the TWIST coupling and is intended for use on bicycles where accessible, secure bottle storage is required.

Advantages

The TWIST base provides reliable retention through a combined magnetic and mechanical locking action, minimizing accidental release on bumpy terrain. Quick one-handed operation lets riders attach and detach the bottle without stopping or removing hands from the handlebars. The antibacterial surface treatment limits bacterial buildup on the base and bottle contact surfaces, contributing to cleaner handling. The compact design and low profile help reduce aerodynamic drag and interference with other frame-mounted accessories.

Suitable for

• Commuting and urban cycling where frequent hydration stops are needed
• Road cycling with one-handed bottle access requirements
• Mountain biking and off-road riding with demanding retention needs
• Bikes with limited frame space that require a compact bottle mounting solution

Key specifications

• Designed for 590 ml capacity bottles
• Magnetic-mechanical twist-lock coupling for secure attachment
• Antibacterial surface treatment on contact areas
• Low-profile compact form factor to fit various frame geometries
• Durable construction suitable for outdoor cycling conditions

How to use

Mount the Fidlock TWIST base to a compatible bottle cage mounting location on the bike frame using standard cage bolts. To attach the bottle, guide it toward the base—the magnets will align the coupling—and perform a short twist until the mechanical lock engages. To release the bottle, twist in the opposite direction and pull the bottle away. The motion is designed for one-handed operation so riders can rehydrate while maintaining control of the bike.

Recommendations

Regularly inspect mounting bolts for proper torque and check the base for cracks or excessive wear. Clean the contact surfaces periodically with mild soap and water to preserve the antibacterial treatment and ensure smooth magnetic alignment. Avoid exposing the base to aggressive solvents or high-temperature cleaning methods that could degrade materials or surface treatment.
