Repeater FRITZREPEATER 1700 EDITION INTERNATIONAL netwerk-repeater wit

The FRITZ FRITZREPEATER 1700 EDITION INTERNATIONAL is a wireless range extender designed to expand home and small office Wi‑Fi coverage. It supports dual‑band operation on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and implements the Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be) standard to enable higher throughput and lower latency where supported by client devices and routers. With a maximum WLAN throughput of up to 3568 Mb/s, two internal 2x2 antennas and a Gigabit Ethernet port, the repeater provides both wireless signal extension and a wired connection option. Security is provided through modern WPA2/WPA3 protocols, and the compact white enclosure is suitable for visible installation in living or working spaces.

Advantages

The device increases wireless coverage using dual‑band Wi‑Fi 7 technology to improve performance in environments with multiple connected devices. Internal 2x2 antennas maintain a discreet profile while delivering the stated throughput. The Gigabit Ethernet port allows a wired client or wired backhaul to the router for more stable throughput when required. Built‑in support for WPA2 and WPA3 helps protect the extended network with current encryption standards. The unit's compact form factor and neutral white colour enable flexible placement in domestic and small office environments.

How to use

Plug the FRITZREPEATER 1700 into a power outlet within the existing router's coverage area but close to the zone where signal improvement is needed. Use the router's WPS function or the device's setup procedure to pair the repeater with the router and extend the existing SSID or create a dedicated extended network according to your preference. Optionally connect a wired client or a wired backhaul to the Gigabit Ethernet port to increase stability and throughput for that device or link. Follow on‑screen or web‑based setup instructions to configure security settings such as WPA3 if supported by the network.

Recommendations

Place the repeater at an intermediate location between the router and the area with poor coverage; avoid locations with heavy physical obstructions or large metallic objects. For best performance with high‑bandwidth applications, use the Gigabit Ethernet port where possible or ensure client devices and the router support Wi‑Fi 7 to benefit from higher throughput. Keep firmware up to date to maintain security and compatibility.
