Geheugenkabelset Lenovo 4X97A88464 voor M.2 SATA/x4-behuizing NVMe

The Lenovo storage cable kit 4X97A88464 for M.2 SATA/x4 chassis NVMe contains the cabling and connectors required to install M.2 form-factor drives in compatible Lenovo chassis. Designed for use in server and workstation environments, this kit provides signal and power connections appropriate for both M.2 SATA and M.2 NVMe (x4) modules, facilitating data transfer and mechanical installation in systems that support these interfaces.

Advantages

This kit consolidates the necessary harnesses and connectors into a single package, reducing the need to source multiple parts separately. The cables are engineered to match the layout and connector types commonly found in Lenovo chassis, supporting reliable data transmission for serial ATA and PCIe x4 NVMe drives. Using manufacturer-compatible cabling helps maintain system compatibility, simplifies upgrades or replacements, and supports proper routing and mounting inside the chassis.

Suitable for

• Installing M.2 SATA drives in compatible Lenovo chassis
• Installing M.2 NVMe (x4) drives in compatible Lenovo chassis
• Upgrading or replacing M.2 storage in servers and workstations
• System maintenance and drive provisioning in data center environments

Key specifications

• Compatible with M.2 form-factor drives (SATA and NVMe x4)
• Includes data and power harnesses matched to Lenovo chassis layouts
• Connectors designed for internal chassis routing and mounting
• Supports PCIe x4 signal lanes for NVMe performance
• Supports M.2 SATA electrical signaling where chassis design permits

How to use

Power off the system and follow the chassis service manual to access the M.2 mounting area. Position the M.2 drive into the appropriate slot and secure it mechanically according to the chassis instructions. Connect the corresponding data and power harnesses from the kit to the drive and to the motherboard or backplane connectors provided in the chassis. Verify all connections are fully seated and route the cables to avoid contact with fans or moving parts. Restore power and confirm the drive is detected in system firmware or operating system utilities before proceeding with formatting or OS installation.

Recommendations

Use the kit only in chassis and systems that list support for M.2 SATA or M.2 NVMe (x4) modules. Refer to the Lenovo chassis service guide for proper installation torque and standoff placement. When handling M.2 drives and connectors, follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions and avoid excessive bending of cables to maintain signal integrity.
