Voeding Fornax Power 650W

The Fornax Power 650W power supply from GEMBIRD delivers reliable, continuous power for desktop systems. Designed with 80+ Bronze efficiency and active PFC, this unit provides stable voltage regulation and reduced energy losses. A 120mm cooling fan maintains thermal balance under load while protecting components from overheating. The compact design and standard connectors make the Fornax Power 650W suitable for a wide range of builds, from office workstations to mid-range gaming PCs.

Advantages

The 80+ Bronze efficiency rating helps lower wasted energy and reduces operating temperatures compared with non-certified units. Active PFC improves power factor and contributes to consistent voltage delivery, which supports long-term system stability. The 120mm fan operates to ensure effective airflow and quieter operation compared to smaller fans. Built with standard ATX form factor and common connector set, the unit is easy to install and compatible with most modern motherboards and components.

Suitable for

• Mid-range gaming PCs
• Home and office desktop systems
• Workstations for content creation and light video editing
• System upgrades where improved efficiency and stable power delivery are required

Key specifications

• Continuous output power: 650 watts
• Efficiency certification: 80+ Bronze
• Power factor correction: Active PFC
• Cooling: 120 mm axial fan
• Form factor: Standard ATX
• Protection features: Over-voltage and short-circuit protection (typical for modern PSUs)

How to use

Before installation, power down the PC and disconnect it from mains. Mount the power supply into the case following the case manufacturer’s orientation guidance and secure it with the supplied screws. Connect the 24-pin ATX motherboard cable, CPU 4/8-pin power connector, and required PCIe, SATA, and peripheral connectors to your components. Verify all connections are fully seated, then reconnect mains power and switch on the PSU. Monitor system boot and voltage stability during the first startup and ensure the cooling fan operates as expected.

Recommendations

Install the unit in a well-ventilated case with unobstructed airflow to maximize cooling efficiency. Use appropriate cable management to prevent airflow restriction and avoid placing the PSU near sources of excessive heat. For systems approaching the unit’s power limit, consider selecting a higher wattage PSU to allow headroom for peak loads and future upgrades.
