Gira wiptoets sluitcontact inzetstuk 315100 — wiptoets-inzetstuk, sluitcontact

gira Wipptaster Schließer Einsatz 315100 — rocker switch insert, momentary contact (Schließer) is a compact electrical control module from gira designed for momentary switching applications. The module provides a normally open contact that closes only while the rocker is actuated, making it suitable for push-to-make control of lighting circuits, bell circuits or other temporary switching tasks. It is intended to be mounted into compatible gira frames and plate systems and serves as a straightforward replacement or upgrade in existing installations that follow the manufacturer's compatibility guidelines.

Advantages

The insert delivers reliable momentary (Schließer) switching behavior with a compact footprint that preserves existing switch layouts. It is built to fit into standard gira mounting frames, offering straightforward mechanical and electrical integration. The design focuses on functional switching without latching, ensuring a predictable contact closure only during actuation. The unit supports common wiring practices for residential and light commercial environments and is suitable for retrofit or new-installation scenarios where a temporary contact is required.

How to use

Install the rocker switch insert into a compatible gira mounting frame following standard electrical installation practices and local electrical codes. Connect the incoming and outgoing conductors to the appropriate terminals, ensuring the circuit is de-energized during installation. Once fitted into the frame and secured with the matching cover plate, the rocker provides a temporary contact: the circuit closes only while the rocker is pressed and opens on release. Ensure wiring is compatible with the intended load and control device.

Recommendations

Use the insert in circuits where brief, momentary actuation is required and where a normally open (Schließer) contact is appropriate. Confirm compatibility with the existing frame and cover plate before installation, and verify that the switching load and environment match the product's intended indoor use. For safety, perform installation and maintenance only with the power off and, if necessary, consult a qualified electrician.
